Activities for Families continues to be a success with a whole range of activities taking place including comic and fanzine making, print making and animation workshops! Artists with a range of practices and techniques temporarily set up their studio within Gallery 2 inviting visitors of all ages to take part in activities that reflect aspects of the artists' work.

Activities for Families continues this Saturday 20 March hosted by Elizabeth Rowe. Rowe makes work from material she accumulates. Things that are given to her, objects she finds in the streets or buys from 2nd hand shops, newspapers, magazines and free advertising. Through a range of processes such as cutting up, reassembling or drawing over, she attempts to control the mass of stuff she gathers and to edit her self into the work.

With an interest in questioning the nature of different ‘realities’ while realising that the only one she will ever know is her own, she mashes up and reinterprets different sources, histories and ideas. The results are overlaps, ruptures and spillages of meaning that open spaces between public and private experience and make connections between the global and the local.

Additional activity sheets from artists Milo Brennan, Lee Marshall, Hannah James and Anouk Mercier are also available.

Free event. All ages welcome. Join us for a fun afternoon of colourful activity!

During weekdays activity sheets are available in the gallery for visitors to colour, cut, stick and create their own artworks. A new activity will be added into the mix this week!
