Spike Island has a curated programme of exhibitions, talks and events. Currently the gallery programme is focused around solo commissions and guest curated group shows, many of which are the outcome of our residency programme. Previous residency artists who will show new work across 2010/11 include Amanda Beech (Arts Council England, South West Residency), Aaron Williamson (Adam Reynolds Memorial Bursary), Zoe Williams (Rootstein Hopkins Artists' Award) and Jorge Santos (Calouste Gulbenkian Residency). We also host occasional residencies for writers and curators, one of which is Gordana Nikolic (Accented Residency) who will curate a group show in Autumn 2010.

We are always interested to receive updates from both emergent and established practitioners in the form of invitations, publications, eflyers and weblinks. However, as exhibitions are developed through the residencies described above or through an ongoing dialogue with an artist, we do not accept unsolicited exhibition proposals.
