Ceri Hand established the Ceri Hand Gallery in May 2008, (during the year that Liverpool held the title of
European Capital of Culture), launching to the public with a group show on July 4 2008.

Ceri Hand draws on over seventeen years in the art world, having previously acted as Director of Metal
(Liverpool), Director of Exhibitions, FACT (Liverpool), where she was a contributing curator to Liverpool
Biennial in 2004 and 2006, Deputy Director of Grizedale Arts (Cumbria) and Director of Make, London.

Her experience of working with established artists in particular on commissioning, curating, producing,
publishing and touring is the backbone of the gallery, providing emerging to mid-career artists a
rounded level of curatorial support and expertise to draw on.

In addition to exhibitions at the gallery, Ceri aims to support artists through publishing, commissioning
new work on and offsite, attending art fairs and securing them opportunities with other galleries.
